Two hours before sunset until 11pm last night 10/30. Ended up a place that kinda draw a crowd but lacked fish. Saw one caught next to me just after sunset and I got one and or so later. Moved to water I found had sand eels but no bass. Even casting over the bar during the later stage out outgoing was fishless. I know some fish was caught in the dark but this primarily day bite crap sucks for me as it did last fall.

Day bite really only started this week, night time is the right time

Beautiful morning out there. Great looking water. Went 4/6 in one spot but nothing over 28”. Slow rolling the needle fish was the ticket for me. Once the sun came out it was over. Bounced around but not a lot going on. Picked up one 32” fish before calling it a morning.

Pleasure to meet a few members of the forum out there this morning.

Great to meet you this morning, hope to see you again on the sand

I scored my usual fluke, and a hit by a shad I think!

Cheated again yesterday.....I don't feel as icky as I thought I would about it. I will say this every bass, even the dinks, are more rewarding from shore. Having said that, pulling in a few slobs aint bad either..Back to sand for me.  Catch em up.

I like surfcasting because of, outside of better rods & reels it hasn't really changed in 150 years. No electronics showing you where the fish are at, just human endeavor & time developed skills.

Even if I don't catch anything I still enjoy doing what my ancestors did before me.

It's not the catch, it's the adventure.
