No batting problems for the Yanks.

Agreed, but take a look at the starters.

Tanaka - what the hell lately?

Pineda - head case

Severino - seems to be doing rather well

Sabathia - channeling his inner Bartolo Colon

Montgomery - exceeding expectations

It's hanging in there, but could implode in the span of a week.

Tanaka is trash and should just be released everything else will fall into place just fine

Way too much money invested in him, he stays till his contract ends. He might be better used for long term relief.

Absolute nonsense.  Something is wrong.  Injury, mechanics, divorce, something.  Who knows.

Tanaka is an absolutely essential part of not only any possible run this year, but also the ace of the staff for the next few years, when another run is expected.

We have the luxury right now of having the time to figure him out and get him fixed, so that's what they have to do.

With all due respect JZ he got hurt and has never been what Hal payed for . If you looked at his face when he was getting clubbed last start it was like he didn't have a clue .I hope your right but right now he is the 5th starter at best . If he comes around i will give him his due but i don't see it happening any time soon .

Hey, right now today, he's nowhere near what we paid for, but his first 3 years were fine.

But that's a separate matter from whether or not he can/should still be the team's ace.

He had a fantastic start.  They say his velocity is still there.  Maybe we're lucky, and it's just mechanics.  We'll see.  But there's too much potential (and money) here to just walk away.
