"What is the relationship between the PA and Hamas?

Today, the political and territorial split between Abbas’s Fatah party and Hamas, seated respectively in the West Bank and Gaza, has become deeply entrenched.

The two territories have grown into markedly different entities, Fatah’s PA enjoying international recognition and backing, while Gaza under Hamas, designated terrorists by the West, has grown increasingly isolated. Egypt has helped Israel enforce a land, sea and air blockade on Gaza for the past 17 years..."  Aljazeera.

West Bank and Gaza.  It is very complicated.

Thanks :th: I thought PA was one of the political groups that Hamas beat out in Gaza....and nothing in your quote above suggests otherwise. PA lost...Hamas won. It makes sense that the political group PA attempted to control both West Bank and Gaza, right?

Nobody said the mortar was 20 feet away, troll. The bang that shook that piece of glass out of the window also made the birds fly off the roof. It happened. Go troll in a different thread, people are having a discussion here.

So you don’t know how a gimbal works. Never worked with one. Got it!

Who was The politician who won the first and only election in the region and then declared himself "President for life"?

The amount of pro Hamas in this country is sickening. You have people in our own Government that refuse to condemn them.  Amazing how fast people with signs and flags appeared only a day or two after the initial attack on Saturday. Makes you wonder what is really going on or could happen here since our boarder has been wide open for the past few years.

I know literally nothing about politics in that area...only with recent events did I start trying to understand the mess over there.

Impossible analogies, total non-sequiturs, raising the stink of desperation agam.

Powerline blog, first stupid question at 3 minute mark and the former PM Goes off on him with second dumb questions about a minute later.

SHAME ON JOURNALISTS

A supercilious Sky News “journalist” interviewed former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and almost immediately started interrogating him about Palestinian civilians. What is Israel going to do to assure that no Palestinian civilians are harmed? Happily, Bennett wasn’t having it. He fired back with both barrels, to the discomfiture of the reporter, who at the end was left refusing to answer Bennett’s question. It is pretty glorious:
