JBayRat
Attach the sticker to a smart phone screen protector. Trim to size and then you can put it on the windshield and take it off at anytime. if you're car is registered in NY, you are not allowed to put any stickers on the windshield except the reg & inspection stickers. JimmyK
Attach the sticker to a smart phone screen protector. Trim to size and then you can put it on the windshield and take it off at anytime. You can also switch it to another vehicle if you need to. Pretty sure that's a big no no transferring pass to another vehicle.
Fergal
Pretty sure that's a big no no transferring pass to another vehicle. A huge no-no... But they'll never know given the enforcement there now. ASMFC - Destroying public resources and fisheries one stock at a time since 1942.
SG1
A huge no-no... But they'll never know given the enforcement there now. True, but it's pretty easy to check at the gate as trucks pull up. Years back, Park Rangers used to run an occasional sticker blitz. They would stand at the gate and look closely at stickers to make sure they were permanently attached to bumpers. People used to mount them on magnetic pads and move them from truck to truck. That's real good, come on this site and advise others how to violate the rules. It seems to me a lot of guys on this site, including me, want more enforcement taken and here you are doing this, unbelievable.
CharlieK
Here are my thoughts on facing WEST. Whenever I am fishing, it doesent matter how crowded the beach is (and I am usually not there when it is crowded anyways), I will always park facing the wind for two reasons. First, I don't want my door ripped off by the hindges with a 30 mile an hour gust when I open it and second is when I go to the rear of the vehicle and open the rear hatch, I can get dressed and change equipment with the protection of the vehicle totally out of the elements like wind and rain. Imagine facing west with a 30 mph wind and driving rain coming off the ocean. The rain and spray will enter thru the raer of my vehicle and make it even more of a mess than it usually is during fishing season. The salt on the inside of the windows make it almost impossible to drive, especially at night. And like Lou said, a second decal for about 25 cents would avoid this situation. Very well thought out. Early December during the Nor' Easter my door got ripped open. Had some minor damage to hinges and inside panel. I was facing south near the inlet. Bummer for sure. yosco
I always park into the wind for the reasons stated above. Cant believe this stupid single sticker thing. Hopefully the rangers will use some common sense and not hassle guys 4 no reason. But history shows, common sense and IBSP, dont usually go together. Can those new stickers even be seen at night? If they shine their headlights on the front of your truck (which is facing west) they should be able to see it, but then again they will light up the ocean like Times Square at New Year's eve. Had a ranger stop at my truck where my son and I were fishing at 3am this summer. My dog was laying next to my truck and he thought she was not on a leash and wanted to make me aware of not letting her loose to chase foxes. Dont know if he was on "patrol" or coming back from another matter, but he was there either way.

You and your band of pirates and your vehickles will b banned 4 life. You will b a disgrace to circles of campers with 20 ft. fires all along the east coast. Deal with THAT! Sheep. I think not.
