3-day MSFV permit holders may not stay in the park if not actively fishing?

Heck, have it IN the shack; a beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean from up there!  And please, don't damage the snowy owl nest.  (Just kidding, of course.)

I guess campers must pay the daily of they want to park in the lots at night to sleep. I can't see that being enforced.

Also why would they charge people to park to kayak fish when transporting kayaks into park is a violation of park rules???? If you can't bring them in, you can't use them. Right?! Sure is a lot of bs going on. guess you can't park in the lots to use the bathrooms with out a daily use receipt. Since the 195 dollars only gets you into the park and onto the beach. Cash cow.

The last time I bought the permit it was called. "The over sand sport fishing permit" That pretty much says it's intent is the beach. However it gets you in the gate as well so who's to say where you park.

The last one I bought was around 2001 - it was already a zoo back then, can't imagine what it looks like down there these days :freak:

Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere.
Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips.

Kayaks are allowed to be launched at the two designated bay access points. You can pull up to the water and unload, but must park back in the lot, hence the parking fee. However, I doubt anyone with a MSVP is paying the parking fee.

Right or wrong, you can do it angst free of law enforcement.  And, if you own a Class A RV, you can stay as long as you desire in any lot!  I could never figure out how those folks pull that one off. With fold up chairs set up in the lot no less!  Go figure...
