The actions have spurred criticism from both parties in Congress and President Barack Obama. A new CNN/ORC International survey released Sunday indicated that 71% of Americans find the targeting unacceptable.

Nearly 1/3 of the liberals find the targeting acceptable. What is wrong with these people???

Benghazi attacks

wasn't that around the time when we found out the Obama doesn't really have a daily security briefing, and instead just reads (allegedly) what gets sent to his ipad?

See how stupid that sounds?

Well, since you asked...

Couple of things in the interest of accuracy. Maybe you weren't an adult for 911 and don't recall, but at the time, there was a fair amount of uncertainly that it was state-sponsored, and thus a more conventional act of war. Later though, the term war still works fine, so it's kind of a dumb comparison.

Second, there was no attempt to spin the event to influence a Presidential election.

There was no attempt to connect 9/11 to Iraq? While Bush never actually said there was a connection, he certainly insinuated it and Cheney did indeed attempt to connect them. They were successful at it too. A good chunk of Americans still think that Saddam was involved in the attacks and at one time, it was a majority of Americans. It's water under the bridge now, but manipulating talking points following politically hot events is nothing new at all. Doesn't make it ok, but it doesn't rise the level of a scandal, IMO.

No worries now about Benghazi now.

It is on the back burner....The IRS, and Press scandals are the big ones now.

These other two scandals potentially reach out and touch every citizen...Not some poor dead Ambassador in some remote country.

The Republicans will keep Benghazi on the back burner for now...Maybe that's what Obama wanted all along.
