CDUX
Speaking of which. That's always an enjoyable "weekend warrior" scene out on the grounds, when "they" somehow mange to get a dart in one (after somehow managing to actually hook one and then somehow actually mange to get in poon range and such) now they have to get it in the boat and its a What.T.F. do we do now moment. Seen plenty of rub rails touch the water over the years, 4 guys all on one side of a center console trying to haul 400 pounds of dead weight over the gunnel. Thankfully most of the time its a mill pond kind of day. P.S. not picking on w/w's, as I was for many years, just a humors recurring anecdote. RoosterSeeker
Watch a couple of Pescadors wrestle a 6-7 hundred pound Blue Marlin into a 25 foot Panga! That is finesse!
derangler
I wish the show was more focused on the fishing and less about 'storytelling'. The scripted parts are often painful to watch. The kid on the pinwheel looks like a serious fisherman, but he's a terrible actor. I find it hard to believe that the drama appeals to anyone who isn't already interested in fishing. Fish the edges. 55chev
Most of the newer boats have transom doors. The reality is , most of the fleet are older boats, no transom door. They (the BFT) come over the rail in most cases. Fishit 2
Fishit 2
Before the BFT can be "Off Loaded" the fish must FIRST be landed, & that is "Through the transom door".....Mark I guess you didn't get the joke, maybe you should go back and watch a few of the older episodes... I don't what it is about this show/thread that brings the "experts" out of the woodwork teaching us BFT googs how it's done, too funny.
RI Popper
I've only gotten fish in the 200 pound class and 2 guys can get that over the gunnel pretty good. I'd be in a world of hurt with a 400 pound fish especially when all I keep is a come-along on board. 55chev
I'm sorry, I forgot, you know EVERYTHING! I forgot, you can cast from the west coast to our eastern waters. You must catch bluefin all year! I shouldn't doubt your experience earned on your 1 or 2 trips. I just emailed NatGeo and informed them of your abilities. Stand by for their call! I just couldn't put my finger on what was missing from the show. Now I realize it is "PUNCTUATION MARK!!!!!"

Been there, done that. 19 foot center console, 2 people, 400+ pound fish. Didn't work and had to call for help, we probably would have sank. Next time we're just going to tow it in.
