Editing is brutal, but I watched it anyway. Funny how one boat the sea is dead calm but when they yell over to the other boat is white caps? LOL

EDIT: Just saw Tyler fighting a fish in the fog solo only to land it in blue skies. This is too funny.

I was thinking the exact same thing! LOL

I can deal with Wicked Tuna , what I can't tolerate is stuff like Honey Boo boo or boo hoo and this new atrocity" finding Bigfoot " or whatever it's called , apparently in the year 2014 people still mistake Black Bear crap for Sasquatch droppings .:dismay:

Come on they way that Bobo yells at the top of his voice in the middle of the dark woods kinda reminds me of reading some stuff here! LOL

Several of the Yankee captains are down here filming a North vs. South tuna show to see which methods work best.

FROM THE HAMPTON ROADS PILOT

The National Geographic Channel announced Friday that it will spin off of its wildly popular show “Wicked Tuna” with a new series that will feature anglers from the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The new show: “Wicked Tuna: North vs. South” will feature captains from the original series against Cape Hatteras captains in search of bluefin tuna off the coast of the Outer Banks.

Hopefully the fish will show up and be available before the fishery gets shut down, as it usually does when quotas are met in the late winter.

There have been scattered reports of bluefin sightings – even a few takes and long runs – but no landings. No fish have been caught yet off Virginia either

National Geographic did not say when the new series will be broadcast.

FROM AN OUTERBANKS MEDIA SITE

The wildly popular show, Wicked Tuna is on it's way to the Outer Banks in 2014!

National Geographic Channel President Howard T. Owens announced today that the network has given the go to a spinoff of its highly rated series. The new series, Wicked Tuna: North vs. South begins filming off the coast of the Outer Banks in North Carolina this winter and will premiere in the U.S. and globally this summer.

The new series of Wicked Tuna kicks off this February on television, but some of the New England captains will already be headed south to the waters off the OBX.

“Wicked Tuna is one of our strongest franchises, and taking our tuna fishermen down South allows us to explore a new region of America and new waters in the Atlantic,” says Owens. “We are taking the best New England fishermen from Gloucester to the Outer Banks to see how they fare against good old Southern boys who fish the old fashioned way off the beautiful shores of this epic country.”

All news aside, I'm a huge fan of the series. I'm also pretty sure our "good old Southern boys" are going to give those Gloucester captains a run for their money!

The Wicked Tuna series featuring the Outer Banks will include TV fan favorite captains like Dave Marciano of the Hard Merchandise and newcomer TJ Ott of the Hot Tuna.

Besides competitive entertainment, the series will also highlight an inside look at important issues facing our local fisheries. The show has always paid close attention to matters of preservation and a local spotlight will be great to have televised to the world!

We'll keep the updates coming as we get them. Stay tuned... or should I say "Tuna-d!"

I do not watch it for the drama, entertainment value or learn to fish...I just find it amazing the fish that they do pull over the rail.

Actually they ( The BFT) are pulled through the transom door....Mark

Fish have NO HANDS!!!....if you're getting bit, it's in the fish's month....SET THE HOOK!!!!!

Some Men are born Great, other men become Great, some men have Greatness thrust upon them, many are desperately seeking a 4th way

Think he was talking about the bait Pirate use to catch and then flip over the rail.
Ad infinitum...ANOTHER thing that bugs me about "Limp Tuna".....the fisherman & ( I use that term loosely,) go offshore & COMPLAIN about only having "1" live herring ......here's a novel idea....how about catching some live bait...PRIOR to heading offshore!!!!....If "I" personally was fishing for BFT worth HUGE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...."I" would make SURE to have an abundant supply of live bait,,,,"Abundant" meaning....MORE THAN 1!!!!...Mark
