Evan asked me to thank Carl again for the new jig.... he is bringing it to show off at school tomorrow!!

I wish to thank everyone who attended breakfast this morning.

Great friendship,and the group, how can I say it? Something along the lines of "A loose group,mature and dedicated to fishing". As you get older you appreciate the memories like this that will last for ever.

Sometimes there isn't enough hours at the meet up to talk at length with everybody,so next time for sure I'll make a point of scouting you all out.

A bit of mackerel fishing afterwards, ...exercise, fresh air, shortening the season until spring, and a few healthy meals in the freezer, what could be better?

Sorry I couldn't make it.  Already used up my days off for the year, next time make it on Saturday : )  Didn't have any plugs ready yet anyways but they are in the works.   MERRY CHRISTMAS

After I left the bulkhead, I picked up some steamers from"joes",,,

 Turned them into fried clams. 

  The best I've done in years, soaked in buttermilk,,,,ate the batch before I could take a picture. 

  With a little help, I'll make them in May at the Casting event

THe jig you are referring to is called the Upperman or in some locations they call it the bean jig . It has a flat thin profile My mold makes only a 3 and 4 ounce head with an 8/0 hook Is that the one you speak of or was the Sand Kuzia head with the stainless hook

Carl have you heard of anybody fattening up the profile by adding lead to the side?

I was not going to do it. I was just having a conversation with a buddie and he was given one that someone doctored up that way.
