Just to be clear I open the boat up to charters for 3 months for charters because people have seemed to want to do them. ( I know I laugh I wouldn't wanna fish with me either ) I supported my family for 20 plus years now commercial fishing only without the show and not only catching blue fin that's just part of what it do . But if Tina is slow I go fish for something else to

Make a check. Now obviously because of the show which is a snapshot of my year alot of different avenues and opportunities have presented themselves. So when I have a chance to explore new opps I got for it.

As to questions about reels. Earlier

I am working with accurate now so I'm a company man the are the best out there they hold the pattern for twin drags one on each side off the reel.

The rest are all twin drags two washers on one side

No comparison. The twin drags aloof for smooth even pressure throughout the drag rang each reel is tested at the factory before its shipped I've visited it

That being said I used the other brands and caught many many fish with them. Up until now I bought my gear all used over the years one rod and reel at a time when I found the right price. So used gear works just fine too

love the show Capt! be stuck inland and down south this year it's a little taste of home.

got to say i absoloutly love this show i am from wales in the uk so i am a few months behind,i like all the boats and there captains except for the bounty hunter as i don't like people who talk the talk but can't walk the the walk, the episode i am on is where they fished on .coms number which as far as i am concerned is out of order the cap makes out he been doing years and everyone should respect him but he does that sort of stuff and can't throw a harpoon when the fish is three feet away clueless.ralph also seems to do more talking and abusing people than he does fishing pirate was funny though. But for me marciano is the best as he just gets on with it does not blame other people just works hard to look after his family and i wish you all the best mate good things come to good people so i hope you have a good season.dave is ok and you got to respect the guy he knows how to catch fish and does not fish other peoples numbers.the new young bloods need to play a bit nicer but respect for trying new things and going out on there own.last word on bounty hunter they got to change name to number hunter and make a film about them with john goodman playing the cap and steven baldwin first mate as they are like the flintstones at sea WILMA"""""""GOOGAN"""""good luck next season and can't wait to watch rest of this one

I remember one day I was Tuna fishing out of Chatham and I heard this guy talking to the coast guard. His voice sounded so familiar it was driving me nuts. Than a couple minutes later the coasties called out for him again and they called for "Big Eye" then I recognized the voice it was that clown Chompers. LOL I cracked up. He was the one who was always talking garbage.

Not surprised that Chompers would be talking to the Coast Guard.....The way that guy pushes the limits of his wreck of a marginal boat, he should have the CG on speed dial.

Hey Capt. Marciano, how is everything going?  I see you turn off your AIS, S-AIS, or ECDIS when you get around the jetty, and with good reason.  I was just wondering how you guys are doing, and if you can show some pictures.  No one, especially myself are looking for numbers, but I do try to follow your success.  I am only wondering how your year is going....  Catch 'em up Cap!!

Not filmed by Discovery, but there's footage from people who were on board. They're trying to get it on the show but no word as of yet.

It was Kevin's boat, which I thought was the Christina. But reports I've read said the boat name was "Huntress"?

And it only sold for around $5 a pound.

In other Wicked Tuna news, Paul supposedly is renting his own boat this season and it got seized by the Feds a week or two ago.

I'll have mine on the rocks.
