It was like a coffee grinder really hard to crank tiresome I sold it Made a decision to move onto the Stella. It has been awesome over the years. I would post pictures of the Stella 6000 but I’m not by the reels. Tom R.R. Bridge Fisher

I haven’t read anything about the 2025 versions yet as the sizes I am interested in aren’t out yet. Are there even more plastic parts in these? The current Stella’s are definitely the smoothest reels I have ever felt.

Do we even know what the 4000-6000 sizes will be like? I certainly don’t need one at this point but wouldn’t write off buying one before they are even created. Dory Rose
The 4000 size 2019 model is sort of special because of its light weight in conjunction with being a sealed style reel. Smooth, water resistant, and relatively light weight. It’s a lovely choice for a lighter open beach surf rod. It’s still like about 5 ounces heavier than a vanquish 5000. Some of us would kill for a Vanquish 6000 if they built it. Off on a tangent
R.R. Bridge Fisher
I'm very surprised that there has been no mention of this reel. I would look into this if I was in the market. I'm not sure of the warranty, service, parts availability but have heard positive reviews about it. troll #122 <*)))<

I still regret getting rid of my 2013 6k when the 2019 came out, I've owned a handful of different sized 2019s and none of them ever felt as good to me as my 2013s. I'd even rank the 2024 Certate sw above the 2019 stella. But will say for the smaller model stella the 2022 fk is much better than the 2018 fj imo. I'll still buy and try out any new models that release

mtl50
I can only comment on the Saragossa. Bought a 6000 early last year and it was my primary beach reel for daytime fishing. I used the heck out of it at least 5 days a week. It definitely lived up to its reputation as a workhorse. Not a single problem. Never dunked but definitely sprayed. It did get a gentle rinsing after every single trip. That is something I am obsessed about. My thoughts on the Stella and the beach? If you are going to spend that kind of coin, go VS or ZB. I have both and they are the only two reels I have found that can take consistent splashing and dunking and being dropped in the sand. As always, just my .02 Mike recoil and snowy 2 Tight Lines and High Tides Forever! mtl50
ranger9
I own both vs and Stella for jig n pop. No way I'd use a stella off the sand. Maybe in the canal that's it snowy
Ocg_89
I had a stella 6000 for a few years, What i loved most about that reel was shimanos service for the stellas. $25 clean and replace parts and back to me in 72 hours every time, made me not worry about using it in the surf.
