kenomikes
I got skunked down Narragansett/Jamestown way yesterday afternoon but did see some albies burn close to shore. I'm still having success in the Bay, 11 more tonight on the SP minnow but I'm dropping a lot of fish on this lure. I crush my barbs but I'm dropping fish when I'm tight. mofish
Maybe the rear hook get stuck to the side of the face? That might you to drop the fish when they go a run.

kenomikes
Yea, I already put the VMC's on and switched out the split rings again, made a mistake first with the split rings too big and the fish were getting leverage. Try again tonight with another adjustment.
HugeDinghy
they're just small hooks, it happens with SP's and the like.
Kooky
I use 2/0 vmc's that helps to drop less fish.
rolm
Kind of an anti-report: a certain breachway was down to one car in the parking lot less than halfway thru the drop last night, on an October new moon 3ft tide just after a rain, with a stiff SW wind and 3-4' seas. That should indicate how the fishing is. Beautiful October night, fish must have been enjoying the nice dark night instead of feeding...

kenomikes
I use 2/0 vmc's that helps to drop less fish. That worked tonight, didn't drop any with the bigger VMC. Bastard bent a treble though, nice fish. He's back out there.

splions
I have seen big schools of fish busting on bait in the bay every day this week... Today I saw a seal after adult menhaden...
