As a person whose mother is full blooded italian, I must point out that you spelled WOP wrong. The acronym actually stands for WithOut Papers, hence WOP. if you're going to insult us then at least do it properly. Already taken care of (see my earlier post). As that my other half is a guinea princess I felt it my duty to make sure that you are slurred appropriately. No thanks necessary. WOP is considered derogatory and is certainly a politically incorrect term to use. Out here in California, we no longer call people "illegal" aliens or immigrants, that is now considered derogatory and politically incorrect. The correct term is "undocumented" immigrant or undoc. No matter what you say, when you say it in front of enough people, you are going to offend someone...maybe more than one person. That's why I consider intent as important as word choice here - when some is busting someone's jingle bells calling them a WOP, their intent isn't negative or demeaning or hateful. Same two people, but now arguing about something and someone gets called a WOP and it's gonna be edited because their intent has changed...now they are using it to antagonize, they are using it in a demeaning, negative way. As long as aliens (meaning from a country other than the US) are illegal (meaning snuck in across the border illegally) they are gonna be illegal aliens no matter how many runny nose whiny bastages whine about it. Undocumented means illegal when it comes to residing in the US. Sorry, but when you illegally enter another country, nobody gives a crap how you feel about what you are called - you are trespassing - get out, then send a letter complaining about what you were called while you were tresspassing TimS Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere.
