Winston got the blank, they’re charging me $75 for a warranty repair for the tip that I broke and $175 for the second tip. I certainly wasn’t expecting a warranty repair in this situation so I am pretty happy. The downside is it may take 90 days.

Writing on a round blank is tough, especially with a raised scrim. Of course, I've messed up with decal application a few times - I was smart enough to buy two decals knowing that I'd probably screw up the first attempt.  Which I did.

It’s is but DNA takes it right off.

For the me, the big problem is that my writing is downright ugly.

I’ve been slacking lately, plus I have a re-do for my dad that’s currently the priority. Well, I had some time and the re-do is moving along well and I should be able to get to some fly rods tomorrow. In the mean time I will also glue up the NFC GammaBeta 11wt. The reelseat is on. I have to get the handle on the GB 9wt tomorrow, then the 11wt. Then I s/b be able to bang some rods out quick.

9wt NFC GammaBeta glued up

ps - this reelseat sucks, the top hood let epoxy thru to the reelfoot slot - friggin annoying. Won’t use it again.

I’m still a bit behind, it was cold last night, the finish on the re-do didn’t cure. I won’t be able to tackle that until tuesday, which means guides won’t get put on it until next weekend, so I won’t start wrapping flyrods until that is done.
