this game might be my favorite this season  what a pass from Barzal to Schaefer in OT = W ,

Heiny's outlet pass from deep in the zone was spot on too. What a prize that guy is in the fruitful Dobson deal. Was happy to see him redeem himself after that third Leafs goal off his giveaway, rare for him.

You can see a pattern of guys taking liberty with Schaefer, the kids good, cocky and has it all going on. Domi gave him the cross-check, Marchment the game before. I can't see Darche not adding some brawn somewhere along the way because the Isles really don't have a guy you have to watch out for. If Evander Kane wasn't such a pariah he would be a good acquisition IMO. I don't want an outright goon taking up well deserved spots. Maybe even a D'man with some temper before Schaefer gets hurt by one of these guys.

Also Zaderov crossed checked him to the face without penalty. Really surprised the league doesn't do more to protect all players. Sure it's a very physical game, but these incidents have clearly been with intent to injure.

I knew there was another but couldn't recall, now I remember that cross-check. It was almost a double hit.

game was blacked out in my area , not going to go crazy subscribing to more than what I already have from Cablevision , old school radio was fine  , did watch the highlight this am   Duclare has some powerful wrist shot there ha ...

Same here, watched the NHL Channel a good deal and they popped in a few times to show what was going on at UBS. Big night for the Duke and Sorokin stopped 44 shots to break the Isles all-time shutout leader. (Chico)

Watched it on ESPN+

Crazy game - seemed like every Isles shot found the back of the net.  Very happy for Duclair - hopefully he parlays that into more production.  And what can you say about Sorokin stopping 45 shots in his first game back? Unreal.  Also broke Chico's franchise record for total shutouts - outstanding.

7-game road trip coming up - let's hope they can bring some momentum with them.

LGI!!!

Keep seeing posts floating around Stamkos to the Isles: One scenario Cole Eiserman, Pagaeu and a 2nd pick. Pageau does so much for this team, PK, important draws in our zone late, etc. This is his last contract year. Eiserman had a rather quiet World Juniors and seems to be taking a step back. At the same time Isles other picks (Ecklund Sweden/ Poletin Czechia) looked pretty good but I've seen how this tournament's results can be meaningless in the bigs. (Insert Bellows and Wahlstrom here). Stammer could be interesting with Barzy that's for sure.
