People here are obsessed with so called welfare-takers, have you ever thought that when economic times are bad more people need help, could explain why food stamps went up during the Obama term.

There are scumbags who live off the govt, both in the inner city slums, and hollows of applachia. The point is we people who work should count their blessings that we dont have to stoop to that level. There are bigger problems facing this country. You think it is fun living on welfare, try it, you can this is America, give away everything you have, and live like they do. By the way how many hardcore conservatives are refusing their FEMA money?

I think we all agree that welfare is heavily abused by many...The real question is..On Obama's record how the heck did he get re-elected?

Gee, how did the GOP end up losing this election? Start with being out of touch with America first. Look at most GOP events, how many African-Americans or Hispanics do you see? Not many. Next, let's see how often the GOP party has insulted women. I mean really can they alienate any more of the American population? Oh yeah, they still have the white male, now that's going to win you an election. Bottom line is the GOP has to get with the 21st century.

And as for the "BIGTIME mess" you keep raising in your posts, it's obviously you're still angry your guy lost. Grow up and deal with it. If you want this country to work, then get your representatives in Washington to seek compromise, that is how things will get done.

There is no doubt that republicans could possibly steal some votes from the democrats if they just started acting more like democrats. But this country already has one Democratic Party and it's folly for republicans to think they can out-democrat the democrats.

Yet they tried to do just that. Solve the debt problem without cutting spending? That makes no sense.

Yet they did in fact insult a large portion of the population, either with thier stance on immigration, the women's issues, or the 47% crack. I said it before and I will say it again, after what Obama has done with the economy, and the whole Lybia thing...for the republicans to loose suggest that the party is so out of touch with the rest of the electorate that they need to reappraise.

Look at Ohio. How many male, 30+ voters voted for independents? How many of those went to Gary? This should have been a slam dunk for the GOP

There are jobs out there. i fricken bartend for a living and i can tell you the place i work at has been hiring people to wait tables for over 3 years. you walk in that door and WANT to work you will get a job. I have friends in the same business that say the same. NO ONE IS WALKING IN THE DAMN DOOR BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE TO UNDER OBAMA. This isnt opinion people, its FACT!! I am so done with hearing people say there are no jobs. Yes, there are less, but that is to be expected when there is no regulation to stop jobs from being sent overseas, or being replaced by technology. Romney lost because he was gonna make people work, and those people, you know who you are, were scared of losing "stuff" they shouldnt be getting in the first place. Ever notice how many more people are on the road at 1PM on a weekday than in the past. Doesnt anyone have self-pride anymore? People are pissed off because people that want to work are picking up the slack for people that dont. Its so convenient for people to say, "there are no jobs". There are 2 kinds of people. Ones that say there are no jobs, and ones that say there are no jobs that "I" want. Stop with the BS about coming out of college and getting a good job behind a desk doing nothing and if i dont, then "there are no jobs for me", Anyone with any intelligence can tell you that a college degree isnt what i used to be, All people this generation have been fed that if you dont get a college degree, you are DONE. So everyone went to school and now there are too many people with degrees and not enough "jobs" that they want. GO wait tables, GO dishwash, GO landscape. And yes i am mad that my guy lost. I agree, jobs are available, may not be that dream job that people fantasize about, but they are out here.

Problem is, the way entitlements are set up it removes some of the incentives to work,.. like hunger,.. they just go down to the department of health and human services and get some of the free goodies ...
