Jmp74
Hey Folks, Hope everyone had a good season in the Salt. Wondering if anyone can help me with a quick question here. I am looking to service a few of my Daiwa reels before next season but I have found the tiny screws on the reel plate to be an extremely tough fit. I am self admittedly not a handy person and lack a lot of tools so just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of their preferred screw driver size for Daiwa reel maintenance (even better if you have taken apart a Saltist before). Thanks for any help!

Sorry if this is a little off topic but do you have experience with maintenance on the 2023 Saltiga? I have a JDM 5000-XH with a floppy bail. The screw that attached to the bail to the line roller becomes very loose when the bail is repeatedly closed. I’ve tightened the screw but it becomes loose again after closing the bail multiple times. Thanks in advance

Don’t use red unless you’re brave. Screw back. It’s been a known problem with the recent batches of shimanos and daiwas bail arm screws. It’s been happening to quite a few models. Stellas Twinpower Saltiga. I presume they use the screw tighten liquid produced from the same xyz company. haters will always hate. trolls will always troll. its how the internet works. Just to confirm, I would be removing, cleaning and applying blue loctite to the screw circled in green (pic attached)?
