HanoverStriper
I took my 3 year old son out fishing for the fist time yesterday. Just grabbed some night crawlers and headed to a local pond. His attention span is pretty short these days, so I really didn't know what to expect. After practicing some casting in our back yard, he surprised me when he started throwing some bombs with his bobber. I saw a few sunfish swimming around, and assumed we would end up hooking up with a few. After a few hits and misses, the bobber took a quick dive. After my son gave the rod a little tug, and started reeling, he came up with his first fish. It was a very proud moment for both of us. 1-1.5 lbs LMB. NewEnglandAngler
That is way too cool! I took my 3 year old out earlier this year (I think he's got the same pole, too) and he caught 7 sunfish on crawlers. I was hoping he'd haul a LMB, but it wasn't to be. The LMBs certainly loved my senkos, though!

HanoverStriper
Thanks guys. It was a blast watching him battle the bass with his Lightning McQueen setup. I was worried he would lose the fish and be upset, but he kept the line tight and won the battle. Too much fun! F TOMBO
