Went out on the Beach this afternoon and asked around about my Rod and Reel. Met a guy by the name of Joe who did indeed find a setup last week. I described the rod and reel and he returned the rod to me and told me that the reel was run over by a truck so it was gone. Rod is good as new. Joe if you read this Thanks Again for returning my Rod. I have a new found respect for the guys who fish these beaches, I thought it was gone forever, but their are honest and thoughtful people in this fishing community. Advice on a conventional setup for the surf. I will be using a 10ft rod and a 9ft rod, I want to know about Abu Conventional reels that will reduce the the number of birds nest until I can educate this thumb. I realize I have to practice until I get it down but I think I read somewhere that magnets in the reel will control the nesting or at least cut it down some, or am I mistaken? Can you help put me onto the right direction to make a good decision on the purchase. Thanks Teedubya

I have a FishMark 320 Fishfinder I picked up at a yardsale. What I wanted to know is how to read the thing. How can you tell when you are really marking fish? Do all finders give a universal image when fish are detected under your Yak. I'll be shooting thru the hull, transducer will be mounted with with marine goop. Thanks Teedubya
