Damn. There’s some real stupidity on this site. JaseB- 1) Truvada isn’t new. It’s been around since 2004.  It’s been approved for PreP for 4 years, 2) it’s not ballet, 3) did it ever occur to you that the trans actor is Latina, not black. The commercial isn’t about stereotypes, it’s about high risk communities. It’s a fact, not a stereotype. Straight men and women are quickly becoming the leading community of newly infected people so expect to see straights as one of these “stereotypes “ soon. Black women are already high risk and often already infected because their “straight” male partners are ****ing with positive men and women and bringing it home them. If there’s any doubt about this, a quick google search will give you the stats.

Redfishkiller- not so much insensitive as it is stupid and misinformed. On the small chance that you’re straight ( doubtful), do you have any idea how many straight women have HIV? Think about that the next time you’re on the hunt. It’s well established in behavioral research that “straight” men who make statements like yours are, largely, doubtful of their own heterosexuality and masculinity and are afraid of dealing with their truth and therefore feel better about themselves by hurdling stupidities at the exact people that they’re afraid they actually identify with. Not to mention that you’re just embarrassing yourself.

Side effects, let's talk about side effects. You guys (assuming you are a guy, or at least one time were, not that there's anything wrong with that) never talk about side effects.

Sorry, I need to share that a while back I made it so "guests" (people not logged in or members here) could report posts - felt it was a good idea to see what non-members felt might be inappropriate. This thread has been the most reported by 'guests' - and they've used a lot of made up, misappropriated words

My new personal favorite: "transphobic" - presumably this means you are afraid of people that decided to change their gender by the planned or actual or make believe removal/addition of sex organs. While the removal/addition of sex organs seems a little scary, I don't think very many people are actually afraid of the folks that choose to do it.

Apparently some of our 'guests' feel this thread was 'transphobic' - and 'crude' - and that even the word 'tranny' is offensive and shouldn't be used. Who knew? :b:   I'd really like to have a civil and public discussion with one of them so they can explain to me this 'transphobic' word and see if maybe they can link us up with a list of all the current made up words to dismiss other folks as afraid or scared - hopefully one of them will join and all a question/answer kinda thread :th:

We can all laugh away this foolishness here but this transgender **** has become a dangerous, malevolent force in this country.

Too long to explain but google up what happened recently to Kirk Minihane, one of highest rated sports talk radio hosts in the country.

*Edit: a lot has been going on with KM lately, to shorten your search about how it relates to this issue goog "Kirk Minihane Bob Murchison"

Thanks Tim.  It's a lot less fun than it sounds and trying to keep moving is a struggle with all the meds they have me on.  Still have the clot in my left side artery just below my brain as of a week ago although they said it is reduced in thickness.

What everyone is hoping is that it dissolves bit by bit rather than breaking up.  If it breaks up, it would go straight into my brain and well, I probably wouldn't be posting after that.

Just sitting around with a bomb in my head while my body fights me and the meds help me give in to it all...lol

It's crazy.

3 strokes and suddenly life changes - and NO ONE can find a single cause for any of it.

I recently had a discussion with a 12 year old who was going on about different genders and sexual orientation. Actually she thought she'd teach me and my kids a thing or two about genders and drag queens.  :squid:

I explained that it's ok to dress how you want.  It's ok if you choose to be a tom boy and that's what we used to say during my youth.

What's not ok, and what we all said would happen but were told it wouldn't, is that a 12 year old is discussing sex.  This girl hasn't even hit puberty.  She should not be concerned with claiming a sexual orientation yet.  It's quiet obvious that the current push is really ****ing up kids minds.  Being 12 years old and not interested in fitting a stereo type or not interested in boys or girls yet, is perfectly natural.  It's a damn shame that these queers are causing kids to think they need to proclaim a sexual identity at this young of age.  It's ****ing child abuse.
