Truthfully, I had noticed the difference until page 137, and rightfully so.

So you made me got back to 137 and see what you meant. Interesting thing, many of those blue eyes are not blue I think, possibly green or hazel. Green (rare) or hazel eyes are can be very subtle and can pick up color of surroundings. Blue walls or blue skies can make them look bluer. Wood paneling can make hazel look brown. 

 

I dated a green eyed ginger in college for a short period and found that to be the case. Her eyes were greenish hazel in strong light but could appear blue outdoors. And lots of flecks of various colors. Sexy as hell.
