Gator bites Kayaker

10 posts in this topic

Glad we don't have gators in the Northeast!

A good friend of mine was accidentally bitten by an 8 to 10 foot gator last week while kayak fishing in the Mosquito Lagoon area. The incident happened when he was releasing a small tarpon with his foot hanging over the side of the kayak as he released his catch. This was the first recorded gator bite treated by the Parish Medical Center in Titusville, and it just goes to show you that we must be careful when we venture into the outdoors into the habitats of others.
