Why I think the Giants will crush the Pack and cruz to the big game.

Let's face it - Packers were hands-down the best team in football this year......

Enter the 2012 dark horse.

Giant's will preserver - like they always do. Their defense has stepped up, stepped up in a big way. They are on a roll, and will roll their way right into the Super bowl.

They nearly beat Green Bay in December. All it would have taken was a little "D" - Giants have one now. Watch their terrifying romp over the Falcons - aside from the early safety, the Giants, particularly the defense, looked unstoppable.

When New York lost to GB, they were mired in a four game losing streak. They could not have looked worse early in the year when they were trying to "find their way." Injuries and off-season departures looked like they were going to derail the season.

Just like in 07.

Don't think that New York has forgotten about that.

Giants 27

GB 22

The Deckhand hath spoken.

;)

Feel free to bump this thread - I don't mind looking bad - I'm married!

:D

Even if the Giants beat Green Bay I doubt they cruise to the big game. IMO the team to beat in the NFC is the Saints, not the Packers. While they played GB tough 5 weeks ago they were absolutely destroyed by the Saints the week before that, a Saints team that is positively clicking on all cylinders right now.

Giants will not play the Saints they are playing the 9'ers. I have no clue how the giants do it - when the heats on they are in a different dimension - look what they did to the Pats.

No what I was saying is if the Giants win they will probably have to face the Saints, who I believe will beat SF, before getting to the "big game"

Cool, just like you are picking the favorite - I am picking the 9'ers because I feel that can and will pull it off. If I'm wrong - I'm wrong.

What happened when the Packers lost to the 6-8 Kansas City Chiefs 19-14? Upsets happen.

Difference is the Packers have lost the last 6 out of 8 to the Chiefs and the Chiefs match up very well. While I do believe the Giants have what it takes to beat the Packers they definitely do not have what it takes to beat the Saints.

THe pack should be worried no matter who they play. That defesne isnt very good........

comes down to the Giants defensive front four

when you handle the Giants front line, you can exploit the secondary,

but when that front line is shutting down the run and getting pressure on the QB they win.

On offense, did you see how Jacobs and Bradshaw both had similar off right tackle runs, dragging defensive backs into the red zone to set up scores. The team is significantly better now that both backs are healthy and playing well.

Packers are the better team, but I don't see the Giants rolling over if the Giants can manage a pass rush without having to blitz a lot.

Pierre-Paul is having a monster year and is quietly ending opposing offensive series with solid tackles.
