Fellas,

I'll be in Groton Long Point this coming weekend for my B-day with the girlfriend and am looking to wet a line. Anyone have any info on fly patterns, bait, etc. I'll be bringing the Tarpon 100 looking to fish the long rod and light spinning for anything that's around. I'm assuming peanut bunker, mullet, and sand eels are the main forage. Deceivers, clousers, flatwings the feathery options??? Also, sheltered spots would be welcomed due to the limitations of the Tarpon 100 in big water. If anyone wants to hook up saturday AM let me know.

Thanks for any info.

Lou

Hey Joev,

I'll probably have time on Saturday morning to drive a bit if need be. Do you have something in mind?? Last time I was in mystic, there were some nice coves nearby on the mystic river that looked awfully promising.

Thanks,

Lou

Hello Fellas,

Just got back from GLP. Fished the point and mumford cove and had a three shots at fish on top, but I missed all of them. Very frustrating! Saw ton's of bait, but not much on them.

Oh well, still nice to be out on the yak and I love that area of CT.
