Warning for entering Stripersonline.com

I had a little trouble this past weekend finding stripersonline.com in the computer this weekend so I just put what I thought was the address into my fiance's father's computer. Be careful- I accidentally added the second 'p' and I got a host of troubles for it. This will link you to a porn site that has some very nasty, and illegal, things on it especially with its presistent pop-up ads. The worst part was that it set itself as my future father-in-laws home page and added it itself to his favorites. Needless to say it took several hours on both of our parts to fix everything. Just wanted to warn everybody out there.

Of course I had to try it. If you are ever asked to run a program called "Hot Personal Action", select "No" biggrin.gif There are pop-ups, but I consider them fairly innocent compared to what most of them are like. Close about a dozen pop-ups and they go away. Or just reboot.

Added to favorites huh? Methinks that you spent some time checking stuff out. Right-clicking on almost anything in Windows gives you the option of deleting it.

Worst case, download a trial copy of one of those programs that cleans bad stuff off your PC. Be amazed how much space you get back smile.gif

No I didn't click on anything- it kept popping up a message that I had to load a plug-in in order to watch a movie. I think the problem really started when I realized what I did then rather then just exit the program, I just emergency shut down the computer.
