Hey All,

So been out of the Building for a few years and just now getting back into it and had a question about Epoxy's.... So way back when I started off with Flex Coat as there were not many other options available at that time. Over time as new brands started to come on the market I found AFTCOTE and absolutely loved it! Was easy to work with, long working life, Thin, easy bubble release and stayed super clear... However it is no longer available and I had to find a new Brand. I have been using GEN-4. and have mixed feelings about it..  Is there anything on the market these days that is close to the old AFTCOTE?? Other recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Man, you just have to try them to find what fits your process.  I liked Aftcote as well for all the reasons you mentioned.  Now I use ProKote with good results, but I don't find it similar to Aftcote.

  • 2 weeks later...

At one point I was mixing Procote and Threadmaster hi build . 60/40. TM 60% PC 40%

This was to replace Aftcote.

I gave it up for the simplicity of Threadmaster Lite.

Longer pot life than high build. 2-3 coats does a nice job.
