Hmm strange what was the problem on delivery? I know you can buy online at Home Depot and pick up in store. So there’s an option.

Ya called them, got nowhere but look what I'm working with there so

So I'm going to buy a jet at some point.

I have a oneida super dust deputy coming this week.

So much going on, finished man cave ceiling tonight and need to get to home depo need 2x4 to make a couple more work bench and also need to look into setting up my paint booth and epoxy system.

Have parts and blast gates for dust collector along with flex tubing, however I want short runs of flex tubing. Going to run pvc and try and keep suction up.

That flex tube kills the cfm  because of its design,  I been reading.

So I Wil build my 2 stage system.

On a side note the when air purifier filter thing works good, that drop ceiling crap makes dust cutting it.

Long winded on this I guess but what the he'll, on top of all this today after work I power washed my roof and used stuff to kill the mold or what ever that crap is that grows.

Need to get my station up also. This is a nightmare as well as engineering the audio. I'm into alot of chit haha.

Hope next month is like last year for me,  monsters, one place I fish is like 9 or 10 min away lol

 Got to love it

So I finally got tired of the taste of sawdust, and cleaning up sawdust, and constantly cleaning sawdust from the filter on my shopvac. So during the winter I set out to add a half fast dust collection system. My shop space is roughly 14 x 22, and filled with crap, and it didn't take long to make a dusty mess with some of the tools. I used the direct exhaust to atmosphere method when I could, just aiming the jointer and planer out the garage door, but that method sucks when you've waited an hour for.the garage to warm up, and you blow all the heat out the door. So I added a smallish 1 Hp  blower into a 1 micron filter bag, and ran hose and pipe to drops for the bandsaw, table saw, and miter saw, with one more drop to a long 4" hose for when I use the lathe, jointer, and planer.  Made a hand vacuum to connect to that hose too in case of big piles.

Here's some pics

And on the other end a drop to the table saw, with a blast gate, and extra 2-1/2" hose so I can roll the bench around.

Last piece is a $10 outlet with a remote to turn the blower on from anywhere in the garage. I need to come up with an airbrush hood with some filters so I can hookup to the dust collector, but filter the paint out, to keep it out of the bag.

Looks good, I don't care for the long runs of flex, that kills the cfm.

I'm going to do short runs of flex as possible, have to fittings and couple blast gates , I need to order my dust collector this weekend.

On the shed 40 your using , you can get that in foam core, it's lighter..

Got my vortex thingie

I didn't care for the 2 stage jet cause of there vortex separator,

That's why I'm building my own 2 stage.

I picked up a used dust collector. It was Lefty's old rig.

I haven't set up anything permanent. I need to get my garage organized, but I'm not working with a lot of space.

along with my dust deputy I think I won't be hacking a lung

Also have the wen air scrubber.

I used that putting up my suspended ceiling

let me tell you cutting that crap makes dust like mad.
