I have fished with ABU round reels for a long time and find they perform beautifully, ar well engineered and easily maintained.

I'm in the process of putting this 6600 in tip top shape with new washers etc.

In disassembling the left housing with the mag lies this part

(Spring 6500c3 Ct Mag Elite) https://www.*********.com/spring-6500c3-mag-elite-p-1435441.html

fell off and I'm struggling to find how it fits into the left reel housing assembly.

Schematics are fine but are inadequate in showing how the part needs to be placed.

I would greatly appreciate a tip so I can get to fishing this gem.

Not sure if this will help you?

And you’re not supposed to post commercial links. See if the video will come through the correct way or not?  Nope won’t let me post a video. You’ll have to go look up spud gun on YouTube. Look up Abu Garcia, 6500 C3 CT mag elite.

I have the video posted there as well, that I just tried to post above, that I told him about.

Don’t know if you’ll get access to AlanTani or not, because I haven’t been able to logon in almost three weeks now. They’re having severe technical difficulties! Some people are locked out, others are not!

I haven't posted anything there in years. For gear heads, it's good stuff.

Yep, not a problem at all brother!

I just happened to be working on it last night, so I popped it back open real quick and snapped a picture for you.

That mag array set up, has caused many an Abu angler, some extra gray hairs lol!

E.A.

FYI. I grew up in South Jersey. Spent all my summers with my Grand mother Maud Sanders on Park Ave. in Pleasantville, N.J. with lots of time on Lakes Bay and  Brigintine Bay,Margate, Ocean and Atlantic City. My dad grew up there. Many fond memories. Things are much different here in Santa Cruz, Ca. No mosquitoesor blue claw crabs and little freshwater lakes and streams. I miss the lakes and streams back there but not the mosquitoes or the green heads!

I spooled the reel with 30lb hollow braid and put a 30ft. 25lb tripleIfish Perlon top shot on with with an FG knot. With ABEC7 bearings it'll cast a dream. I'll fish it off the beach on 12ft  rod I built from an 8/9wt 4piece  i built many years ago that doubles as a two hander for Perch and Stripper. No Bluefish out here. I miss those green eyed devils.
