Why do you need giant weights for sturgeon?    We catch them here fishing the bays in the winter time with like a 2 or 3oz pyramid.

You'd be surprised how shallow they actually go and boy can they jump when hooked.   I'd say put it back on your list of fish to catch.

I agree on the deep drop stuff except you can get some very interesting fish

Be the chimp, not the frog.....

Near Martinez?

I love when we make way past the breakwater at first light and head out, there's nothing better, the whole rest of the world just melts away for me.

largemouth bass.  just never saw the appeal.

don't get me wrong, I'll liveline a sunny once in a while just for kicks, but the time and money people invest into fishing for them always seemed ridiculous for a fish that doesn't gte very big, dsoesn't fight hard, and tastes like crap.

I've done stuff I ain't proud of, and the stuff I am proud of is disgusting.

He said popular fish, meaning fish that are targeted.

That you don't want to catch.

Top of my list. Deep drop fish or any fish where I'm using electric reels.

Fish like sturgeon where you need giant weights.

Halibut

Nonsense, I see them breaching in the Ct River from time to time.

Porgy's are pretty damn popular judging by the headboats, but not for me.

There’s an article in the providence journal about equality in fishing access in RI.  Said white folk don’t target scup. lol.

So they’ll ban striper fishing in the name of DEI.
