Looking to replace our queen size mattress. Prefer a firmer mattress but with higher motion separation - one of us is a wiggle worm. A cooler sleep is always a bonus in the deep south as well.

There are so many options out there that I'd like to hear what you have and like or what you would avoid. We have had Stearns & Foster in the past and one from the Original Mattress Factory. Both were OK but I'm sure that there are others out there that might be better. I kind of liked the Tempurpedics but did not like feeling like I was drowning or stuck in a nest on the softer ones.

What say you? Any advice appreciated.

we got a beautyrest black a few months ago and love it.  also got the adjustable base which my wife uses constanly, especially the vibration/massage feature.

I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.

Have one.  Never again

Elaborate please?

As you mentioned, sleeping in a hole.  I don’t think my back likes it.

We have an Airloom. It’s firm and has good motion separation. We live in the south and it seems fine year round.  Airloom is known as high end and are hand made. So they are pricey but very well made.  We have the plush jamboree which is a hybrid with memory foam. You don’t feel like you’re sinking in.  We liked it so much we have a king and queen.

I sleep in a hammock, strung from corner in the room.
