You frog.

Nice fish.

Could only manage shorts today + the plans to fish all day got derailed.

Oh well, decent start to the season anyways

The water's right at 50 degrees in the OCMD inlet. We got those 2 about 30 seconds apart and that was it, the tide cranked up coming in and the bite shut off. the water temp dropped 2 degrees on the incoming tide too. They're finicky little bastards. Probably heading back down Sunday now that we know where they are and what tide they like.

Bite was a bit funky today yeah.

They weren't hitting like normal, they were wailing on it, I mean really hard hits. Felt more like Black drum than a Tog.

I've always thought the OC fish fought harder than the IRI fish.

Couldn't tell a difference between how they hit though.

They weren't chewing on it, they were grabbing it and going with it. Very strange bite than what happened a month ago. I'm wondering if it has something to do with getting ready to spawn. They were all about shrimp today. They'd hit the sandfleas, but all 6 we got were on shrimp on a SNAFU rig.

Shrimp all day. Super consistent. Super tempting.

Just can't use it when all the small fins are around - too much nibbling

They do fight especially when you foul hook one, lol. I hooked one in the mouth and anal fin, he was not happy about it either. With out new Albacore rods, they don't get a chance to dive into cover.

Nice fish.

What was the size of the tagged fish?

They ranged from 14.75 to 15.5 inches. We both got broken off once so I think there's a monster lurking where we were.
