Sending out this note to see if there are any sales this upcoming week. I am looking to grab a Saltist MQ 3-4K. I got my hands on one recently and knew she was the one instantly.

If you think there is a better deal, let me know. But any sales or discounts will do, looking to stock up on jig heads and paddle-tail swim-baits as well.

Appreciate any responses.

I noticed that the J and H sale has already started. However they’re now sticking adamantly to their exclusions list.

if you have a bass pro credit card, they’re doing a 15% sale every Monday until Christmas…I don’t think they have exclusions, but of course may not have all the same choices as other places

AmericanLegacyFishing got a 25% discount on all Daiwa products. Code: SECRET. The 3k/4k are on back-order but I contacted them and said they should be restocked within a few weeks

I dislike spinners but the BG MQ I fell in love with. Problem though, the consumers inability to service it themselves. Daiwa the last time I checked refused to sell the proprietary tool. I haven't found an aftermarket tool for it. If I can't get into a reel, I won't buy it.

This is a very fair point, I love Penn because they were and are easy to get into. I own 2 Stradic which I have no idea how to get into. The way I see it for 175-200 if it lasts me 2-3 years, I will ride it out into the sunset. So far, shimano has been treating me nice and no issues.

LL Bean usually has a good sale, I'm hoping to snag some discounted waders and an intermediate layer puffer. Will reply to the thread once the sale goes live

Their selection of reels is limited but waders should be good!

Yeah I stopped buying from J & H I had bad luck with their dark matter products which are medicre at best. I saw they posted something about their sales, smells a little fishy when other folks are having sales on their exclusions. I’m not a business guy so I’ll just spend my money else where. Saltwater edge out of RI is my new go to spot.

Kid is super into fishing. And she wants to get him something

Charging her a bit under what my normal base cost would be, but also going to take the time and do some decorative work at no extra charge

As long as she's covering component cost i can donate some time to make a kid happy

That’s awesome, imagine getting that kid hooked to fishing. Seriously, it’s nice to see people out there that value things outside of making profit hand over fist. Hope the new year treats you right

I have the same exact issue with the one Stradic I have.  It needs servicing and my gut instinct is it is rather routine except for the fact the screws that hold the plate in place have some type of proprietary screw head.  Looks like I'll be sending it in to their service team
