I have a few Crack 300 one is new in box and the other is like new. I don't remember how long i've had them but I have 3 all together and cant see  myself using the 2 new ones ever again. I would put them up for sale at a fair price for someone who would collect older reels just don't know what they’re worth.

need pictures. Generally they don't bring much.  Best case $40 for the boxed one, 20-30 for the other. I'm basing this off of recent ebay sold listings.

Eery brother, lol!

Literally just posted, the same time you did!

Was just on the bay myself, looking for him!

You pretty much confirmed, what I was going to say!  But, I didn’t want to throw a low price out there, and be that guy lol!

Damn they aren’t worth much. Back when Van Staal first started selling reels the Crack / Luxor's were selling for close to $200 . I remember the surfcaster was repairing them and wouldn’t sell parts . I think just having him look at one was $40 or more. Times change might as well keep them. I caught so many good fish on them 30 years ago . Still a great large reel like a 706Z. Simple and built to last.

Bullseye, I sold Crack 200 and 300's back in the early 80's for $200 no problem, no box.  Heavy duty and heavy as a brick in your hand, but the best for the times 60's, it was replaced as the surf reel by the 706Z which held its ground and is still playing. VS eventually replaced the Cracks and Luxors, it was needed.

I too am shocked by the lack of value. I'd give $50 for one in fishing condition just to strap it on and give it a go. Real coffee grinder, big old spool and face, wore line rollers out like they were marshmallows, but it was easy to fix earned its place.

I found a bunch of sold listings, all of them under $65, the $65 one was pretty minty!

However, there was no box or paperwork!

Still can’t see this particular reel bringing more than $100 tops, only because of the box and paperwork!  And that better be one nice looking box too lol!

You could put it up on the bay at auction and try your luck and see what happens !

Maybe, you’ll luck out, if there happens to be that one determined buyer!
