Lou T
Years ago I use to fish Statin Island more than NJ. Back when it only cost $6 - $8 bucks during off hours to cross the bridge. I was there during the night while the FBI and every other law agency were uncovering bodies during day. I had no clue what was going till my father asked me where I was fishing. So that lead to this reply. I don't think the guys planting the bodies there could care less about someone fishing there. LowEnd
Last week run into a fellow angler I’ve known for several years. He comes up to me say’s “you know how I like to look for stuff on the the beach”. I said yeah, he even found a plug I lost and I told him to keep it. He takes out his phone and shows me a picture of a rubber female butt and vagina on the beach! I said WTF, and what did you do with it. He said he took it home to put on his son in laws car! He said “Where do you think it came from”? I said Jersey! EricDice, ReeferRob, OnlyDinks and 4 others 5
MikeK
Years ago I was salmon fishing in the Naugatuck River south of Waterbury. I got out of the river to take a phone call. While on the phone, a GIANT pink marital aid came bobbing down the river and passed within feet of my buddy who was still casting. We watched intently to see if it was going to torpedo the guy fishing down river of us, but no such luck. LouT, it is strange that you are the first one to respond to this thread because I originally typed in I nominated LouT to tell the great story of the fat cat mishap but then I didn't want to single you out or anything or put you on the spot so I erased that part of it but I mean it was a great story and the video that went along with it was wonderful and if you don't mind sharing do so. fishguy62
I was fishing a spot religiously this fall. Same rip, same tide, same lure. I casted for 2-3 hours straight, nada. It was odd bc every other night it was on…I walk off my spot and take a break for a few minutes. Guy walks up right as the tide is slacking. Odd time to show up. Same lure down to the color, same rip. Stands in my spot. First cast boom 35 pounder. Late season too. Takes one more casts. Walks away into the night..my buddy and I just looked at eachother like was that an f’in ghost?!?! phishallways
Fished a high tide a few years ago in a cove alternating 10 yards or so working east with a friend. We caught fish every couple casts but nothing special. Then i dropped a mambo minnow that hit like a depth charger. Half an acre of water blew up like a depth charger went off. Twenty pounder on quick as fire. Never seen an explosion like that in forty years. Heavy Hooksetter and ReeferRob 1 1 I'll ignore your cheap aroma, and your little-bo-peep diploma, I'll just put you in a coma, with some dirty love-

Bdemiri23
I had just gotten my license and started exploring different areas. As I was driving I almost crashed the car driving over a bridge because I swear I saw the biggest tale slaps in the water. Parked on the side and went down the path. Once down there I started casting but wasn’t hooking up, next thing I see a scuba diver emerge and say what are you doing. No flags/no boat/ nothing to let me know scuba divers in the water. I got lucky and did not hook those fins. Jefffahfffah
Fishing the Passaic River in NJ, early march, its pretty cold. I was standing maybe 20 feet from the bank and some guy, looking super strung out and carrying a grocery bag of random items, emerged from the bushes and asked me if I needed anything. I said no, I'm good. He looks around a little more, asks me again, and again getting pretty frustrated with me. After maybe 5 minutes, "You know I love you man, you sure you don't need something?" I say no, get out of here. He goes "whatever, **** you." And flings his bag into the river before stumbling off. squidder 329
Fished Delaware Bay for stripers we would anchor and fish bunker chunks. We used pickle bucket (5g) for rinsing water. Filling the bucket it slipped out of someones hand and floated away. We fished the same spot the next day we spotted the bucket floating toward us, out of reach by a couple of feet. linesiderdemdnj
i drove up to montauk from maryland either last year or the year before, left work and drove right up there. i had just bought one of the last stock build FSC 1267 predator rods i knew of in existence. it took 7 hours with a couple stops to get up there. i geared up and walked down to the south side from camp hero. i made a few casts right when i got down there at a rock i like. rod felt good. so i started walking further down the south side and was passing that one house on the cliff when i slipped on one of the marble rocks, head over heels, and broke that rod like 2 feet down from the tip. i was thinking i was lucky i brought a spare rod, but was pissed about my new rod. tried to hurry while being careful back to my truck, and low and behold, i brought the wrong top section for my spare rod. took all my stuff off and drove home. i made 5 total casts. nightmare.
