Kind of shocked to not see a NY Rangers thread here, must be the heavy LI crowd all pulling for the Isles!

Anyway, looking pretty strong for the beginning of the season with an 11-2-1 record, including a fantastic SO win last night over the Blue Jackets and a shining performance by Lafi. Currently sitting atop the Metro division, ESPN bumping the team up to #3 in the power rankings, but a few key players day-tp-day with injurie's. Wasn't too excited by the hiring of Pete Laviolette, felt like more of the same with GG and was hoping to see Knoblauch get the nod.

Regardless, how's everyone feeling so far this season? Are you all ready to get hurt again??

We really played down last night. Not surprised, the come down after a big win was inevitable and Buffalo was looking to make a point. Both of the goals by Tuch were avoidable, especially the second one. We never really put a cohesive offense together besides the Mika PP goal.

We're still at the top thanks to the Boston losing to Columbus but to @Drew T's point, will the injuries start to add up? Kappo was placed on LTIR about an hour ago following that knee injury, lets see how Lavy shuffles up the lines to compensate.

I loved that Laffy hit though!

we do not need them, we need someone like Pat Maroon or Rako Gudas another guy that can bang and work the boards. They have enough skill, need moar will type players. Watching the Devils series - when they were dumping and chasing they did not have enough guys that could go dig out the puck on the top 2 lines.
