recoil
Report as little or as much detail as you would like to provide the reader but please don't post specific street names or areas. Pictures of Stripers are discouraged since they hinder a quick release and at times reveal a specific spot. Do not direct viewers to any beach camera sites. A specific spot is too much information! It's not like telling a friend or two, posting it here is telling thousands. Doing so only creates crowds, garbage, and loss of our spots. For example, you can say that you caught fish in Ocean County but saying that you got them at Ocean Beach is a no-no. The terms to use are.......... Monmouth County Ocean County Atlantic County Cape May County North Jersey for the Hudson and other backwaters. County name plus "In the back" for Inlets, Rivers, and Bays. Try to keep other conversations, inquires, and rants in separate threads.
recoil
I just returned from a quick outing up north. Light wind and flat conditions but no luck for me. Water temps are cooling and should improve before weeks end. bill cunnane

robtf
Sorry, just had to. Will be hitting the surf mostly down in Atlantic County ( AC which surveys for the county or city ) both out front and in the back, terms I’ve used since I first started surf fishing. Good hunting to all! From The Grand State of South Jersey

Popular Post adobo
Had a few hours to fish this morning. Hit MoCo outfront and saw birds working a ways out and the waves looked like a surfers delight. That NW wind was blowing as well. I wasn’t hopeful but tried anyway. Was rewarded with one slot fish to avoid Pepe. Had birds and bait close for a few minutes but boy were they picky. Hoping to get another shot this week. Thank God the temps have dropped. Popular Post bbfish
I'm gonna propose a new rule. If theres a 10 foot gap between me and the person beside me and we tangle, and you decide that's a good time to come and try to fish in between us, you aren't allowed to get mad when i swat your rod upwards with mine when I try to get under your rod/line to work it out. Im out here trying to fish and end up fencing. hobobob, Whortleberry, R.O.G and 9 others 10

FishingmaniYaks
Went out front with my boys for a couple hours and couldn’t hook up with fish on peanuts. Super picky fish. Seen a gator landed, a 40” or so getting Hollywood pictures like 40’ from the waters edge then released in hopes of survival. Snagging peanuts in hopes of the internet hero fame fish bites on. What happened to this sport anymore. Gotta cheat and kayak to get my distance again. Irishfire18 and loubert 1

I used to have disdain for the binocular guys up on the sea wall, they have the pass now. My new hate is for the scum sucking bottom feeding losers who stand behind a line-up of guys casting and wait for the bait to get sprayed to wiggle themselves into spots that would make a mouse feel claustrophobic. Almost everyone has thrown distance rules out of the window. In my opinion If you can speak without yelling to the person next to you, you are laughably too close.
