Wasn't free this weekend, but it's a new week and the wind's shifted.

Going out tomorrow - hoping all the fall players are hungry and abundant.

Report away gents, we finally got some reasonable weather in the bay for a week.

Well I can tell you there were no stripers around Sunday.  Fished just above where the Potomac empties in, hit a couple different areas of structure, a light house and a old rusty boat and ended up over some rock fields banging decent size blues on live spot.  Ended up with a commercial limit between 7 of us.

How's the fishing near the river mouths to the bay over the couple months, from shore?  I've yet to fish much from the VA side near Piankatank/York rivers and Mobjack Bay?  I want to try a few spots down that way soon

It's been ugly outside of the incoming on the eastern shore.

Bay's been so flat for 2 weeks the fish don't give a damn about slack tide transitions.

Thinking about hitting the west shore if I can't get out a night with a favorable tide.

  • 2 weeks later...

We fished exactly 0 times in the bay in October. One trip to NC and 2 trips to OC.
