You’re now required to have a certificate showing you’ve passed a pier education course. It’s a yearly renewal with zero cost just your time to watch the videos and the end has a simple multiple answer style test.

I took the “test”, and I don’t fish the skyway as of yet. Nothing like learning more than yesterday. 
 

It’s really the protection of birds, especially pelicans. How to deal with bird entanglements. There has been a push to stop the bird interaction. Naples pier when it was open as closed on Sundays to “help” the pelicans. 
 

One big takeaway was the number of hooks per line given a span of calendar months.
