New to Century but been surf fishing for a while. My 10" gsb wore out  actually had a guide cut through my blank and looking to replace with a 10 - 11 ft one piece rod 3-5 oz range give or take . Looks like most of the Century rods are  2 piece any recommendation on a distance spinning  rod I use an older VS 200 and if they are 1 piece .

I dont own one but the ones i have seen have been nice rods

if i were to fish a conventional style surf rod it would be a Century

I wouldn’t worry about two piece rods so much most of your better rods these days are just that

If you’re in jersey they have a century demo this Saturday

I am I would love to go to it but i have to work. I'm using lures 90% of the time small as an ava 007  up to a bigger metal lip and popper I fish southern ocean county and lbi. Late fall when the sand eel bite is on an extra 10' makes all the difference allot of days. I don't fish bait often enough to go with conventional reels .

This is a century 70/30 split Stealth 1205 moderate action rod. the underwrap for the guides prevent guides from wearing through the blank and give the rod a bit more power.  It casts well with my 200.
