RI party boat fishing for tog

Bounty Hunter Charters. This was my first experience on a party boat. It took some work but most anglers got their limit of tog today plus some sea bass. Capt Eric did 5 or 6 drops to find the fish and mate Pete was great. The biggest fish caught was female and she was released.  If you're gonna fish RI tog, go local.

Was this out of LIttle Compton or Newport?

Got friends coming in a couple weeks and thinking this might be perfect.  From the website, looks like they are both MA and RI.  Thanks for the heads up, will add to my list of contacts.

Edit: figured it out from their calendar that trips are departing out of Little Compton.

I always have a good time on the Bounty hunter. Capt Eric knows what he is doing and if he doesn't like the outcome, a nice discount is offered for next trip.

Yep, Eric treats his customers right!

I knew Capt. Eric (along with his father and uncles) when he was a fish-obsessed kid many years ago.  Fished with him and his father a couple of times back in the late 1980s/early 1990s.

He always loved the ocean and salt water fishing.  I'm extremely happy to see him fishing professionally and doing well.  He was made for it.

Made it out for our first Tog trip yesterday.  Been difficult timing my work schedule with decent weather days.  I've always had trouble with Tog from shore, targeting with jigs and crabs.  I'd get an occasional one when fishing for something else on squid and such, but I pretty much was just wasting money on crabs.  Figured this trip would help me figure it out and dial it in, which it did.  Limiting the number of anglers made this a good middle between charter and party boat.
