FlatWing
Hard to achieve for a "standard size" SUV if you crunch the numbers. To effectively flush salty sand off the undercarriage, you need at least house level water pressure and flow rate. I do not remember the flow rate in my house, as I converted my sprinkler system to a well almost 30 years ago. Conversely, in my 2016 Toyota 4Runner, I have a 13 gallon Ironman 4x4 water tank that lives behind the rear seat and a SUR-Flo water pump that generates 1.5GPM at 35PSI. Plenty adequate for rinsing the bait board and fishing tackle, but the tank empties in 8 minutes, not nearly enough time for adequate rinsing of the SUV, even if you disregard the low pressure compared to a house system. Frank2104
I got the impression the OP was talking about showering/rinsing people rather than undercarriages. irishexit

I think so also, the "other undercarriage" Years ago I carried a pump sprayer, the kind used for killing weeds and filled with water. You can get them from 1 -4 gallons Edited September 20 by MDsurffishing irishexit and JJKsr
Frank2104
I carry a 5 gallon plastic jerry can with a homemade spout. But to be honest, for "de-sanding" feet I switched to keeping a container of baby powder in my surf box. Sprinkle it on and sand brushes away easily. irishexit
Midnightpass
I just use a 1gal. yard sprayer, with a garden hose nozzle attached… I use it for my fishing gear and feet… You could go larger if you needed more water… Butch irishexit

irishexit
@ the 3:45 mark is the shower. I'm curious how it's rigged to the battery and what type of pump.

The guy advertised in the back pages of 4wd magazines. I will try to send you a link . Don’t think he’s in business anymore . But he made a great product. I fish montauk , sometimes a week at a time . And never wanted to be far from my gear. Wetsuiting all night so it’s hard to sleep at hotels, and the rates are insane anyway. Showering is a must if your going to last any length of time. irishexit 1 BLM - Bass Lives Matter Race - human like everyone else
