Baywatcher
I was trolling local FB pages and came upon this photo of some recent Changes ( Destruction ) of my Favorite fishing spot for spring Fall Fishing. No place in the Raritan Bayshore have i ever seen this much building up of a shoreline. There are dozens of photos but no explanations for it. Guess a Road trip is in the works Stay tuned anyone been by their lately. It is a hot spot for many NJ & NY Edited September 17 by Baywatcher Spelling
gellfex
How is that possibly legal to build a whole new peninsula? Is it for a private house? On Google sat photos there's absolutely nothing there, straight shoreline. Is the parking lot for fishermen still there? I launch the kayak there once or twice a year. YakAnglerNJ
I was able to launch there right before they closed off access and really begun this work. The guy working the job told me this spot will not be accessible for at least a year.
lostinthewash
The big question is will it work and how bad will it affect the fishery Baywatcher

TimS
I'm amazed that is legal - wonder if @Sudsy knows anything about it...he's pretty up on access issues Show someone how to catch striped bass and they'll be ready to fish anywhere. Show someone where to go striped bass fishing and you'll have a desperate report chaser with loose lips.
R.O.G
wow! knew something was going on there, but not this! saw what looked like attempts at this there, but wasnt sure what they were doing. crazy, but as we have seen in many places along the shore line, money can buy anything! This should make things interesting there, as far as access and fishery. Bigger question is will they continue north from there with more.

STONES
Army corps of Engineers building a dune 250 feet out from the walkway and from creek to creek . 250 feet out will be a dune 18 feet high from jetty to jetty. I have heard many different plans over the years but at least they have started something! We lost a lot of homes after Sandy...
