I was trolling local FB pages and came upon this photo of some recent Changes ( Destruction ) of my Favorite fishing spot for spring Fall Fishing. No place in the Raritan Bayshore have i ever seen this much building up of a shoreline.  There are dozens of photos but no explanations for it. Guess a Road trip is in the works Stay tuned anyone been by their lately.  It is a hot spot for many NJ & NY

How is that possibly legal to build a whole new peninsula? Is it for a private house? On Google sat photos there's absolutely nothing there, straight shoreline. Is the parking lot for fishermen still there? I launch the kayak there once or twice a year.

wow! knew something was going on there, but not this! saw what looked like attempts at this there, but wasnt sure what they were doing. crazy, but as we have seen in many places along the shore line, money can buy anything! This should make things interesting there, as far as access and fishery. Bigger question is will they continue north from there with more.

I'm amazed that is legal - wonder if @Sudsy knows anything about it...he's pretty up on access issues :)

After Sandy the army engineers developed a Bayshore flood plan might be a part of that there is a photo on that FB page but has a name on it I asked permission to post it so far nothing it shows an aerial drone view of the somewhat finished area it covers from the parking lot to the Bay wall and out massive. anyone who fished that area knows at a winter low tide you could walk 100 yards out Past the Sailing Ship Ballast pile it was great for harvesting Rigs and Lures sinkers foul hooked on many snags from what I see they did nothing on the Private authority property west.
