RAW
Spent last few days boarding up bulk head for storm surge, hopeythe dune does its job. House has galvanized steel panels in ground backed by seawall, then concrete and posts also pushing on seawall and 3/4” pressure treated marine plywood lagged in. Hurricane Bob filled our basement, no damage since with this , although you never know Cabo2005, Roccus7, MainelySmallies and 2 others 4
Skunkoff
Good luck Bob! I'm inland but still very nervous. You have surge, I have trees! If I wasn't working the weekend, I'd take a trip to the coast for some visuals.

drmevo
Anybody planning to fish tonight or tomorrow ahead of the storm? I'm going to fish the river a little tonight with some eels, unless it gets too gusty.
Roccus7
Good Luck @RAW. I hemmed and hawed, but decided to hedge my bets and hauled out this AM. Of course, now it looks to be nothing more than a tropical storm, but better safe than sorry... Edited September 14 by Roccus7 Cabo2005 and RAW 1 1 Shall I go to heaven or a-fishing? - H. D. On paper, it may seem a bit underpowered, but he modified displacement hull means a more linear speed curve, so no need for more HP to "get out of the hole". She'll do 33 kts wide open, but when can your run wide open on the ocean? I usually run at 20 kts, which is a gas saving 4500 RPM, along with saving you from losing your teeth fillings... NHAngler
Good luck with the storm Bob. Seems they have downgraded it a bit so hoping this moves through with no impact other than a little wet wind. I will be trying to fish on Sunday but sense that the weeds may be terrible. Confidence catches fish! The rest of it is just there to keep us busy.
