I took my largest fish of the season last year, a healthy bass in the upper 40# class on one of your forward balance bucks. I really like hearing things like that. Got pictures? -

Unfortunately none with the bucktail featured but here's the fish. Big Surf so we had a hassle landing/getting a few quick shots. 1oz forward balance, I love the density of the hair. Colin2175
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I've decided on getting 6 Andrus Jetty Casters, two in 1 OZ, two in 1.5 OZ, and two in 2 OZ. For trailers, I'm gonna get a jar of Fat Cow Eel Tails in Blood Red. Any Bucktail under 1 OZ might be a little too light for my rod. I think 1 OZ should work fine in most NJ surf conditions, but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm most likely gonna try and practice with these in the surf first before I go to the jetty. I think I'd lose them all in one day at the Jetty, so I'm a bit hesitant about going there right away. I also need to pick up John Skinner's book "Fishing the Bucktail". For Plugs, I'm gonna go with 7" Red-Fin, 6" Daiwa SP Minnow, 5" Yo-Zuri Mag Darter, Tsunami Talkin' Popper XD in 5" & 6", and 6" Cotton Cordell Pencil Popper. I'll most likely pick up a Gibbs Danny Surface Swimmer in the future. For Metals I'm gonna go with a 4 1/2" Deadly Dick, A17 & A27 Diamond Jig (I already own), and two Crippled Herring (I already own). I believe this assortment of lures should be able to cover the entire water column and be fine for the areas I plan on fishing.
