drc
When tog fishing, where would you try and set up on the boat and where would you avoid at all costs? Or, it doesn't matter, good fishermen catch all the fish. Think I'm gonna give it a try this fall.
Kml
I like the bow typically. I will hide out in the back if it is really cold and windy.

Interesting, seems the stern gets most of the votes when you search on line.
Kings over Queens
Couple schools of thought. Midships because that's generally where the sounder is located for the fish finder and the captain will set the boat over structure, so middle is always over structure, especially on small pieces. Stern because it is usually a little more "spacious" and better access to bait, cutting board, the cabin. And, for me, because its out of the wind, which is a big deal. I hate being cold. The bow, because, I don't know. I never fish the bow. #otterlivesmatter
Kml
The bow because when you are double anchored on a piece the bow will move the least, the stern the most. I was never a buyer on the transducer location but I am not opposed to fishing mid ship. If it is a light day with lots of rail space I will move around. The sunny side with no wind on a cold day can be nice.
Mike
The correct answer is to go fish next to the guy who is getting bites. EricL 1 "Depend not on fortune, but on conduct."

Had a guy fishing 3 feet away from me on a 6 pack charter. I get a couple tog back to back and this guy starts dropping right on top of me. Like 3' makes a difference. Oh look now we're tangled. EricL
i like anywhere where i get some shade. if your gear is proper, and you mindful of how lines can drift easy to avoid tangles. any position is fine. but if one side is getting bites, im going there. i also follow a 10 second rule. if it doesnt bite in 10, reel up, double up the bait, drop it again. usually itll cause enough commotion to incite a bite. also doesnt let my line roll into a snag. i use 2/3 rule for trading. join date, posts, or vouch. whoever has less goes first.
