Time to talk about Albies

It's getting time to start a thread about Abie arrivals.  Hope this season saves the year with a great one.  I will be looking in the Eastern LIS area.  Lets hear if you have any luck, obviously not specific locations.  We know places to look  if they show up  .

quick scouting trip a few days ago around fishers and south found no evidence of hardtails, so I think we still have a few weeks before there's a legitimate shot of finding them in CT waters.

I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.

Someone has to be first.

Not Ct, but saw a couple of blowups very close to shore in RI before these swells and high surf showed up. Easily reachable for shore based but up and down in seconds.

Lots of peanuts.  Blues, chubs and schoolies busting some up but no tails.

Public Service Announcement:

Albies don't like the sound of your engine, at all.  In fact, it scares the **** out of them, especially when it's calm and quiet.   So when you see fish breaking don't go plowing into them with the throttle wide open.  Go updrift, waaaayyyyy updrift, shut your engine the **** off, and drift into them.

Also, if you see a guy alone on a pod of fish in a white Key West with a black t-top and you decide you're going to motor right up on top of the fish he's casting to, then chase them around me in circles full-speed for the next 10 minutes while I yell at you to shut your ****ing engine off and stop putting the fish down, I'm going to put a treble hook in your face

I prefer peace. But if trouble must come, let it come in my time, so that my children can live in peace.

Wow - no updates???  Been seeing lots of CT pictures.

Go fishing.  Don’t need to wait.  Any of your favorite spots.

Seen alot yesterday. Only boated one on a joe baggs resin. Would have done better but once people see you fighting the fish they think their 1999 merc 225 2 stroke needs to plow through the kayaks and boats with trolling motors down.41653.jpeg.d8764b60d22c02efc3c5d78e934048d4.jpeg
