Kickoff in 22 days.

More realignment coming. Looks like Washington and Oregon to the Big 10.

Arizona likely to the Big 12. PAC 12 is dead and has been for some time. USC and UCLA leaving and losing the LA market was the final mail.

ACC looks to be the next to implode. Clemson, Florida State, Miami and NC are getting restless with their lousy TV deal which runs for another 12 years.

Go Navy!

Actually the latest suggests the Oregon and Washington departure from the Pac12 has stalled.

It’s a done deal and was just announced by the schools and conference.

Looks like Arizona, ASU and Utah will be in the Big 12.

So long PAC 12.

Not a fan of the ever-expanding conferences, but should be a good year.

Looking forward to WVU - Penn St to start the season.

The biggest fish in the river gets that way by never being caught.

I saw that when I got home.  Article I read on CBS obviously was incorrect. or something changed quickly.    Now rumors are swirling that the MWC and PAC12 may unite.

That seems like a natural match, at least for Oregon St and Washington State.

I really think at some point there's gonna be 2 conferences, North and South and that's it.

ND is heading to the BIG 10 at some point in the near future.  Some how ND has them back into a corner and the the big 10 will have no choice but to let the football program in.

Soon as those ACC schools find a loop hole in remaining contracts they are gone.

I think the advent of the idea of venture capitalists rasing money to fund a 'new' conference that would cherry pick teams to create an 'SEC' like type of power conference, any and all ideas are on the table.

Those folks don't get involved unless there is a very good way for them to generate revenue from this on a massive scale - from a new network contract for the new conference, branding, merchandising, official beer of the conference, etc.

I think this is going to get crazier since the NCAA is essentially falling apart as more and more comes out about what a bs org they are.

The Miami investigation was just the tip of the iceberg, and with NIL $, their role and focus has been further limited.

As long as the SEC stays strong I don’t care what the other lesser teams/ conferences do.  There’s SEC and everything else.

I dont think that will change any time soon.  In the last 20 years I think maybe 4 non SEC teams have won the championship.

I think for some of these teams changing conferences besides the money aspect of it for the schools I really think some are trying to build their programs to be as successful as your big SEC teams and its not working.  I mean I know a few schools broke rules and sunk themselves and never recovered but what about the rest?

What are the SEC programs doing to be as successful as they have been and why can't other conferences do the same?  Coaches?  Academic Requirements?  It's gotta be something.

Clemson is a perfect example in the ACC.  Why do the rest of the teams in the ACC suck but they are always a powerhouse?

Yes but still the top team in the ACC.

TCU is a better example.  They can steam roll their entire conference year after year but get their asses handed to them in the national championship by an SEC team.

even notre dame kept the Georgia game close

Clemson dropped off in part because they assumed DJ Uiagalelei was the next great one.  And what they had to back him up is not the next great one either.  If they want to be a qb factory they better tell those scouts to up their game.  Clemson's problem was not recruiting, it was recruiting the right 4 and 5 stars.
