Rod socks for surf rods

Is there a company or brand that make rod socks for surf rods that will accommodate larger guides and longer rods? I keep my rods together in my truck and they get scuffed up by rubbing on each other…. I see a lot of fresh water options with lengths of 7 1/2’ and don’t look like they would fit over the larger guide.

Wrap the rod in an old sheet an put them in a 4 or 6 inch piece of plastic pipe … cut the pipe to fit your shorter rods and add a second piece using threaded connector for the longer rods … your rods will thank you for it … using the pipe also prevents accidental crushing of your rods…

Like car covers and golf head covers, they tend to become mind numbing to keep putting on and taking off. These are fishing rods that take a beating if being used, jewelry needs to be stored in socks, fishing rods hang or stand by themselves. Good idea though if you have the mindset.

If anyone was interested, I found a company that makes a large enough rod sock for most surf rods. It’s called the ,”stick jacket magnum.” Seams like it will work out well for 9-10’ rods.

Sounds more like something I would see next to a box of Trojans....

Gotta admit Iike the rod condoms especially when traveling. Keeps the rods quiet and somewhat protected.
