Scott Charlton
I’m about to put a lot out, but I have no choice. my wife of 25 years who is mostly bed ridden, depends heavily for Twitter to stay connected to the world. I bought her a smart phone tonight, she’s never had one always uses and iPad. in the process of setting it up, her Twitter account was logged out of the iPad. First time in years. She can’t log in now because it is requiring a dual authentication code that does not exist, as she used SMS and that was discontinued a few months ago. Twitter has virtually no support staff at all. My wife has attempted suicide multiple times. If I can’t fix this, I’m afraid to leave her alone. I have written to them I got a blanket response it will be days before anyone contacts me. does anyone know anyone that is left at Twitter that could send out a lifeline? WindAndWater
I think you or your wife may be able to set up a new user name/account using a different email address. I don’t really use Twitter much but people apparently have multiple accounts. So even though it wouldn’t be her account, she would be able to at least get into Twitter again and refollow all of those people or keep up with the news until she’s able to sign into her account again. Maybe that would help? Wishing you and your wife the best. Roccus7 1 (*member previously known as 'SoCalStripers')

Skunkoff
Hey Scott, very sorry to hear your and your wife's situation. Have you tried to call them? Might be a stupid question, as I also don't use much social media, except for SOL really. I'm assuming this type of stuff changed with the ownership? MainelySmallies
I asked someone who works in tech (not for Twitter). You may be able to try downloading a third part two factor authenticator (like Google Authenticator) and try to authenticate that way. Also if you still need help with this I would post it in the main forum I think there’s a better chance that someone sees it there who can help.
