Pfft. Miss Lily is rude and obnoxious and she's perfect!! **** socializing!!! She's my girl and has literally zero manners. She's cute though and will judge you. If she hates you....you're probably trash. No....you're trash.

We had similar problems with this dog we have now. He's 1 1/2 now and just starting to settle down and obey commands. Very stubborn and head strong. Part Boxer, part Catahoula and a rescue. The rescue issue caused some of his obedience problems (I think so anyways). I'm not very well versed in Catahoula issues, but from what I've read, they can be very strong willed. The biggest issue that remains is every so often, if given the opportunity, he will bolt when he gets off leash. Not always. He's very unpredictable and I think it's all in his mood of the day. He does it purely for the fun and sport of it. He wants us to chase him even though he knows that once caught, he's in deep chit. So we just let him run around for a bit and tire himself out, then he's a lot easier to catch. If I put the shock collar on him, I don't even need to use it. He knows it's on and doesn't want to chance the repercussions.

I never thought I would be a dog park guy. Always took my dogs to the woods and hiked trails. But I take Hooper to the park almost every day, he loves it, and he is known and loved by everyone. It's really amazing how well he interacts and listens to me. Of course he just wants to play ball, but he plays great with even the nasty dogs.

In all fairness to the dog, this was his first interaction with people and other dogs since we had him.    We're been laying low with him until he's fully vaccinated, which will be today.

So last night was kind of a social overload for him.  But his behavior was borderline inexcusable.  It's was almost like we caught a coyote, and brought him to puppy class.

My nephew's husky didn't like me, especially when I went to hug his wife.

They got a shepard and I was over there. The shepard loved me, the other dog was jealous and became my friend. It was pretty funny. For two or three years, that dog wanted a piece of my ass.

You know it must be a penguin bound down if you hear that terrible screaming and there ain't no other birds around.

My buddy had one that was a runner. Unfortunately, he had to give the dog away.

She's a female, you stupid fag, and not a sheep. God, you're dumb.

It sounds to me like your dog needs socialized. It needs to get to the point seeing other dogs and people is no big deal, and nothing to get excited about.

Take Chaser with you every time you leave the house, and to a dog park, just to watch and see other dogs, while obeying commands.

Make him pay attention to you while being distracted by keep treating every time he looks at you.

Dog training is all about your dog performing while being confronted by the Dreaded 3 Ds...Distance, Distraction, and Duration.

Distance...how far away from you will your dog obey a command.

Distraction...will your dog obey while distracted by other dogs, or people.

Duration...how long will your dog hold a sit, or stay, or other command.

Practice is what it takes.

yep. We did group training with our Akita. It didn't hurt that she was raised with a Chihuahua.  Both were pups...

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd

My Frenchie is a straight up ****. My wife makes excuses for him. Lol. He’s basically feral.

That's how our dog was when we first got him. I think he might have been abused a little before we adopted him. Once he settled in his new home, he became aggressively friendly. To the point of being really annoying. Took a while to break that habit. He's fine that way now.
